The dlwindle Interview

This marks a milestone for Ginseng Museum: our very first artist interview.

And it’s also the first interview ever given by dlwindle [ @dddlwin ] one of the most unclassifiable voices coming out of Hong Kong’s underground scene.

We talk about everything, from his early days writing anime-inspired light novels, to discovering hip-hop, to founding the collective Chaliace [ @chaliace ]. He reflects on what it means to stay true to yourself as an artist in a city that doesn’t always make space for creativity.

He talks about hope, what it means to create a collective like a deck of cards, where each person brings something unique to the table.

We also get into his ‘chaotic’ musical style, the blend of electronic and hip-hop influences, and the wild energy of Guangzhou crowds. He shares the stories behind his favorite performances, his connection with Cybermade [ @cybermadeofficial ] and other underground artists.
